I’m a mid 40’s suburban mom, but I’m not a soccer mom and I don’t drive a SUV or mini-van. I only have one kid and I’ve been a room-mom one too many times. I do play Bunco, but only because they are the coolest moms ever! We lead a pretty simple life around here at L2L HQ. I do not believe in over-scheduling, because it just freaks us all out to have too many plates in the air. That makes me pretty untypical in the world of suburban moms. : )
I recently hit “mid-life crisis” after losing both parents and job in 9 months time. Say hello to therapy in the form of hockey. Now the whole family is hooked. The family consists of my scary-smart husband, here after referred to as Hub and a tweenage equally scary-smart daughter, we’ll be calling the Kid. We just finished our second year as full fledged obsessed Dallas Stars Hockey fans.
I’ve been in a new job for about a year now and moved to full time last spring. While I love the new job, it has severely limited the amount of time I can spend on hockey. I don’t get to go to Stars practices during the week anymore. 
But there are still those weekend practices! You’ll find me and Hub there whenever possible! During most Stars’ games you can find me hanging out here doing a live blog or with some other Stars fans over at www.wordpress.interchangeableparts.com with the Ookies and many other hockey fans from literally around the world. I love surfing tons of hockey blogs which lead me to where you are now! Hope you enjoy!

(FYI, if you haven’t already noticed, Steve Ott is my favorite player because not only is he a great agitator, he has great energy and grit on the ice, seems like a really nice guy off the ice, does a great interview and, finally and most importantly, he makes me laugh, a lot.)
